About the research

Inadequate drainage is by far the most common cause of poor performance of earth retention systems. This project investigates the design and performance of earth retaining walls with Jet Filter Drains, which are used to improve drainage. JET Filter drains can therefore reduce problems resulting from poor performance and, in some cases, outright failure of retaining walls. By improving performance at a relatively low cost, JET Filter drains will become a valuable tool for agencies to maintain a State of Good Repair.
