Description

In this half day (4+ hour) course, students will learn the basic principles of AutoCAD. This includes navigating the model, creating objects, editing objects, using precise geometric references, creating annotation, and basic plotting. This course is designed for novice users and serves as a compact refresher for experienced users. The course will consist of instruction and interactive exercises.

Training laptops will be provided for participants to concurrently use alongside the instructor (or participants may bring their own if AutoCAD 2024 is installed).

Please note that due to a limited number of computers available with AutoCAD installed, participants will be paired up on workstations.  This also limits the registration capacity for this training 16 people.

Who Should Attend?

Staff and personnel with limited or no AutoCAD® experience.

**Please be advised that per Iowa engineers and continuing education requirements under 193C-7.4(542B, 272C) “Professional Development Guidelines”, Section 7.4(4) is “Exclusions”, which indicates that “Basic CAD and fundamental computer application courses” are excluded from allowable continuing education.**
