Please Note: This is an INTERMEDIATE skills course intended for County personnel only. A base of experience/familiarity in using Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar, is necessary before attending this workshop.
A future Intermediate Civil 3D course will be developed and offered for cities and other personnel, depending on interest/need.

Workshop Description
In this two day course designed by county staff and intended for county users with Civil 3D or AutoCAD experience, participants will learn about the fundamental tools and workflows suitable to work performed in counties in Iowa. Students will gain a knowledge of Surveying, Alignment and Profiles, Corridors, and an introduction to Feature Lines. Total course time will be approximately 14 hours (7 hours per day), approximately 2 weeks between each one-day class. Computer workstations will be provided for each registrant.
Who Should Attend?
County staff and personnel with moderate Civil 3D or AutoCAD® user experience looking to expand their knowledge base on the tools and workflows applicable to their day to day work with the software.
**Please be advised that per Iowa engineers and continuing education requirements under 193C-7.4(542B, 272C) “Professional Development Guidelines”, Section 7.4(4) is “Exclusions”, which indicates that “Basic CAD and fundamental computer application courses” are excluded from allowable continuing education.**

- Bridge to Box Culvert: Replacing a bridge w/ a box culvert
- HMA – Mill and Overlay w/ shoulder widening and ditch recon
