Description
Join us August 26 and August 27, 2020 for this FREE online workshop where we will provide an overview and resources for local agencies on a variety of pedestrian safety countermeasures. The focus of the webinar will be on proven and innovative safety countermeasures that directly impact pedestrian safety. This includes passive (e.g. enhanced markings) and active (leading pedestrian interval signal) improvements and designs (road diets). The countermeasures that will be discussed are applicable in a variety of urban and rural settings, and will provide agencies with a variety of treatments to enhance pedestrian safety.
Note that this course will take place over the course of two days, with each training each day running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Part 1 will be on August 26 and Part 2 on August 27. Attendance is required at both sessions for a certificate.
