This webinar will discuss a recently completed project that evaluated the effectiveness of different transverse rumble strip configurations at rural county intersections in Minnesota. Various safety metrics were collected before, one month after, and nine months after the installation of the rumble strip installation. Additionally, a noise analysis was conducted to determine if one configuration is recommended above others.
Speaker Bio
Nicole Oneyear is a research scientist at the Institute for Transportation at Iowa State University. Her research has focused on safety related topics, including rural intersection safety and the implementation of low-cost countermeasures.
