Transferring new ideas and technologies to the transportation community

The Institute for Transportation shares its expertise and new knowledge far and wide. InTrans is focused on implementing innovative and novel technologies to enhance the transportation system and to improve lives. Institute faculty offer many transportation-related research opportunities for Iowa State University students pursuing PhD and master’s degrees. Annual K-12 programs introduce the world of transportation and engineering to students and provide professional development for STEM educators. And workforce development opportunities—including workshops, conferences, webinars, and other forms of training—improve the skills and knowledge of transportation workers.
