CP Tech Center sponsors workshop opportunities

CP Tech Center sponsors upcoming SPS-2 Tech Day and Professors’ Workshop

The National Concrete Pavement Technology Center is involved in the staging of two professional development opportunities scheduled for summer 2018. The first, a one-day event in late May, focuses on sharing recent concrete preservation research. The second, a week-long course in late July, is designed to engage educators with timely information on concrete design, construction, and management. Concrete pavement practitioners of all kinds can register now for these events.

Iowa Concrete Pavement (SPS-2) Tech Day

Speakers from government and industry will report on findings from national surveys on the expected service lives of concrete preservation practices on May 30 in Des Moines, Iowa. Results of the Phase 2 project for the SPS-2 Concrete Preservation Pooled Fund project will be shared with participants. The CP Tech Center is sponsoring the Tech Day, along with the Iowa DOT, FHWA, and four concrete industry agencies. There is no cost to attend the event, but registration is required.
