Jennifer Shane Receives National Leadership Award
Jennifer S. Shane, assistant professor of civil, construction, and environmental engineering and InTrans affiliate, was the recipient of the 2010 Distinguished Design-Build Leadership Award from Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) in the faculty member category.
The award is given to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in the advancement of best design-build practices and delivery.
Shane is a co-advisor of the Iowa State University (ISU) DBIA student chapter and teaches a graduate design-build course at ISU. She also recently completed a research project examining the use of design-build in municipal water and wastewater facilities. In 2004, Shane also won a leadership award in the student category while attending the University of Colorado.
