Kastrouni wins prestigious CUTC award
Eirini Kastrouni has been selected to receive one of the prestigious student awards given annually by the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), the C.V. Wootan Award in masters category, in recognition of the outstanding thesis she prepared as part of her studies at Iowa State University. The title of her thesis was “Equity performance evaluation of two different pricing options: fuel tax per gallon and VMT fee.”
This award, which carries a cash stipend of $1,500, will be presented at the CUTC Annual Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Nadia Gkritza (civil engineering/transportation) served as Ms. Kastrouni’s major professor. Shauna Hallmark (civil engineering/transportation) and W. Robert Stephenson (statistics) served on her thesis committee.
