March 3 Tom Maze seminar to feature Johanna Amaya-Leal, ISU assistant professor in supply chain and information systems

The Tom Maze Transportation Seminar this week will feature Johanna Amaya-Leal, an assistant professor in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Iowa State University.

Dr. Amaya-Leal’s main research interests include urban freight transportation, disaster response logistics, and operations management. She received her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad del Norte in Colombia. Additionally, she has a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida and completed her Ph.D. in transportation engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

Dr. Amaya-Leal’s presentation is entitled “Improving Freight Systems in Urban Areas.” She will be presenting live between 11:00 a.m. and noon from the Iowa State University campus.
