Practice-ready research will be highlighted at August 16-17 symposium
Save the dates—August 16–17, 2017—and/or submit an abstract for the 2017 Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. As suggested by this year’s theme—New Ideas, Better Lives—a major focus of the event will be on research implementation and practice-ready results.
Researchers and practitioners from around the country will present papers at this tenth biennial event in Ames. The day-and-a-half symposium will cover a broad spectrum of transportation issues with sessions on both basic and applied research.
Hosted by the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Institute for Transportation, the symposium provides an opportunity for transportation professionals from the Midwest and beyond to learn about advancements and applications in their fields as well as future directions for research. It also provides a venue for participants to network with peers.
Abstract submissions from potential presenters are being solicited through April 3 and registration is now open. We welcome submissions from people representing broad perspectives in the transportation community: consultants, engineers, planners, and practitioners from public agencies, private industry, and universities.
