The Transportation Student Association (TSA) at Iowa State University (ISU) has won the 2012 Student Section Activities Award by the Midwestern district of the Institute for Transportation Engineers (ITE). This is the second consecutive year that TSA has beat stiff competition from student chapters across the 11-state district.

The TSA’s district application will now be considered in the national chapter competition.

This honor is extra sweet because the TSA’s advisor, Dr. Nadia Gkritza, has just received ISU’s Engineering Student Council’s Most Outstanding Club Adviser Award. Gkritza is an assistant professor of civil engineering at ISU and transportation engineer at ISU’ Institute for Transportation.
