About Katelyn

Dr. Freeseman is the associate director for the Bridge Engineering Center and an adjunct assistant professor for the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering. She provides research project management skills while promoting collaborative research teams. Her multi-disciplinary research experience ranges from nondestructive and materials testing to bridges and pavements.

She has worked on numerous federally and state-funded research projects and has shared this work via peer-reviewed journal articles and technical reports. Her current work involves improving the constructability of complex bridges, use of innovative accelerated bridge construction materials and nondestructive testing methods, and integration of novel bridge characteristics at the local roads level.
