Following a brief introduction are technical case studies of the four timber bridge types built recently in West Virginia: the stress-laminated deck, stress-laminated T-beam, stress-laminated box beam, and glued-laminated beam and panel bridges. Each of the case studies included typical design, fabrication, and erection procedures. Descriptions of problems encountered and resolutions of those problems are also included. Technical notes on each of the 53 bridges form the last section.
