New Ideas, Better Lives

The 2017 Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium is hosted by the Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa State University’s Institute for Transportation.

The Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium provides an opportunity for transportation professionals from the Midwest and beyond to network with their peers, learn about advancements and applications in their fields, and anticipate future directions for research.

As suggested by the theme—New Ideas, Better Lives—a major focus of this year’s event is on research implementation and practice-ready results.

Researchers and practitioners from around the country present papers at this biennial event at Iowa State University. The day-and-a-half symposium covers a broad spectrum of transportation issues with sessions on both basic and applied research.
