Have you been thinking about how to meet the new commercial driver licensing (CDL) training requirements? This webinar includes a panel of city representatives from Iowa that advanced down this path and will be talking about how they have accomplished this task. The hour will include some short presentation or discussion about the process they have followed, followed by time for questions from the those in attendance. The panel for this webinar will include representatives from the cities of Des Moines (Sara Thies, Street Maintenance Administrator), Cedar Rapids (Mike Duffy, Streets/Sewer Operations Manager), Ames (Justin Clausen, Public Works Operations Manager), and Iowa City (Dan Striegel, Iowa City Equipment Superintendent).
Following the Iowa Virtual Town Hall there will be a “CDL Training Implementation Idea Exchange” webinar from the national APWA at 1:00 PM. Those who register for attendance at the Iowa Virtual Town Hall will be forwarded registration information about the national event when it becomes available.
