Laboratory Tests on Waterproofing Systems for Concrete Bridge Decks
A series of laboratory tests on waterproofing systems for concrete bridge decks has been undertaken at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory. These tests investigated: the performance of membranes over the ambient and asphalt application temperature ranges, adhesion, durability, long term water absorption and chloride penetration of the systems. The effects of laying waterproofing systems on to concrete treated with silane were also investigated.
