Image: Mid-Continent silhouetteIn addition to the concurrent presentation sessions, the 2022 Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium will feature a poster session on the evening of Wednesday September 14, 2022.

We are seeking innovative poster topics from people representing broad perspectives in the transportation community: researchers, consultants, engineers, planners, and practitioners from public agencies, private industry, and universities.

Submit your poster topic using the online submission form by April 8, 2022.

Abstracts describing the poster topics will be published online after the symposium.

Potential Poster Topics

We welcome topics relevant to various aspects of transportation, including mobility, safety, sustainability, technology, and innovation. We are especially interested in promising, implementation-ready solutions for federal and state departments of transportation, cities, and counties.

Poster Topic Submission

Prepare a brief abstract clearly summarizing your proposed poster topic and submit it using the online submission form by April 8, 2022.

Review Criteria and Notice of Acceptance

Poster topic submissions will be evaluated by a committee of regional transportation professionals based on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Succinct, clearly defined research objective and expected results
  • Practical, implementable solutions for transportation challenges
  • Valuable insights or research results
  • Tangible research findings or products (technology, equipment, processes)

The number of accepted poster topics will also depend on the space available within the poster session.

Authors of poster topics accepted for presentation will be notified by email within a reasonable amount of time after the submission period closes.

Notes for Presenters

At least one author of each poster accepted for presentation must be registered for the symposium in order for the poster to be included in the program.

Research posters may be up to 6 ft wide by 4 ft tall to fit onto the stands provided by the symposium venue.

Presenters will have at least 30 minutes to set up their displays and should stay near their posters throughout the session.
