2022 Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium: Call for Presentations

Image: Mid-Continent silhouetteThe 2022 Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium is seeking innovative topics to be presented during concurrent presentation sessions on September 14 and 15, 2022.

We welcome submissions from people representing broad perspectives in the transportation community: researchers, consultants, engineers, planners, and practitioners from public agencies, private industry, and universities.

Submit your proposed presentation topic using the online submission form by May 20, 2022.

Abstracts describing the presentations will be published online after the symposium.

Potential Presentation Topics

Potential topic areas include mobility, safety, sustainability, technology, and innovation, though presentations in other relevant topic areas are welcome. We are especially interested in promising, implementation-ready solutions for federal and state departments of transportation, cities, and counties.

Presentation Topic Submission

Prepare a brief abstract clearly summarizing your proposed presentation topic and submit it using the online submission form by May 20, 2022.

Review Criteria and Notice of Acceptance

Submitted presentation topics will be evaluated by a committee of regional transportation professionals based on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Succinct, clearly defined research objective and expected results
  • Practical, implementable solutions for transportation challenges
  • Valuable insights or research results
  • Tangible research findings or products (technology, equipment, processes)

The number of accepted presentations will also depend on the space available within the concurrent presentation sessions.

Authors of accepted presentations will be notified by email within a reasonable amount of time after the submission period closes.

At least one author or presenter for each accepted presentation must be registered for the symposium in order for the presentation to be included in the program.
